Thailand signs MoU to buy more electricity from Laos

BANGKOK, Oct 25 - The state-run Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Nam Thuen-Hinboun Power Co of Laos to buy more electricity from the land-locked country at Bt1.82 per unit. The MoU was signed by Kraisri Karnasutra, governor of EGAT, and Viraphonh Viravong, director-general of Laos' Department of Energy Promotion and Development. Rising world oil prices pivotal for Thai baht, stocks this week

Energy minister downplays concern over floatation of LPG prices

Retail oil prices in Thailand may continue rising

Exports hit record high of US$14 billion in August

Energy Ministry ready to fund mass transit system
