Siam Steel shares rise to 2-month high
Shares of Siam Steel Service Center Plc, a Thai steel-parts maker, rose and were heading to their highest close in more than two months after the company reported its largest profit in five quarters.
Its shares climbed 3 baht, or 12 percent, to 28.25 at 11:03am in Bangkok. They surged as much as 16 percent to 29.25 baht and have not closed at that level since May 29. Almost 324,000 shares changed hands, 11 times the daily average of the last three months.
