DTAC posts 39% rise in net profit
Total Access Communication Plc, Thailand's second-largest mobile-phone operator, posted its biggest quarterly profit in six years, as revenue from telephone services increased and its income-tax payments declined.
Net income in the fourth quarter rose 39 percent to 1.5 billion baht ($38 million) from 1.1 billion baht a year earlier.
The profit was the largest amount since the fourth quarter of 1999 when it earned almost 3.8 billion baht.
