Industries sentiment hits low
Thai manufacturers' confidence fell in June to the lowest in almost three years on concerns that rising fuel prices will increase production and transport costs and erode profits, a survey showed.
The Thai Industries Sentiment Index fell to 78.8, the lowest since the index was started in October 2002, from 90.5 in May, the Bangkok-based Federation of Thai Industries said in a statement yesterday. The survey covers 489 manufacturers.
