Bonds fall on 10-year yield speculation
Thailand's 10-year local-currency bond fell for a third day on speculation gains in the past month that pushed down yields had made longer-term debt less attractive than shorter maturity notes.
The gap between two- and 10-year Thai securities narrowed by half to 1.03 percentage points today, from 2.12 percentage points on Nov. 2, according to Bloomberg data. The smaller gap reduces the extra yield investors get to compensate for the risk of lending money for a longer period.
