Cabinet okays 6% rise in big project budget
The cabinet yesterday approved a 6 percent increase in the investment budget for major infrastructure projects planned through 2009.
The increase in the budget to 1.804 trillion baht is aimed mainly at housing programmes, the government said in a statement.
After the upward revision, the budget for residential projects will grow by 116.5 billion baht to 330.3 billion baht, the statement said. Funds earmarked for mass transit projects remain at 423.4 billion baht, the statement said.
