BANGKOK, Jan 22 - Foreign investors are paying less attention to Thailand's property market following unfavourable incidents in the past month, according to a leading real estate service agency.
Jones Lang LaSalle president Supin Meechucheep said the company had previously projected that the property market in Bangkok would be quite promising this year, with property firms enjoying strong operating results.

Bangkok, Nov 21: Dubai-based hospitality group Jumeirah, a unit of Dubai Holding, has been appointed by TGR Group-Asia to manage five-star private island resorts under development in Thailand's Ao Po Bay.
Scheduled for completion in late 2008, the Jumeirah Phuket Private Island Resort will feature 65 deluxe pool villas, 12 three-bedroom luxury residential villas, four restaurants and bars as well as leisure, spa and fitness facilities, including a 400 metre private beach, reports Gulf News....... BANGKOK, Nov 13 - Bangkok's commercial office property market has not been adversely affected by recent political uncertainties, but total leaseholds of office buildings in the business center increased only slightly, according to world leader real estate service Jones Lang LaSalle.
Dan Tantisunthorn, head of Jones Lang LaSalle (Thailand) Co, said the demand for office properties in the city by both Thai and multinational companies still was increasing satisfactorily.

Housing loans extended by local financial institutions in the second quarter of this year continued to grow although commercial banks had raised lending rates, according to the Bank of Thailand (BOT).

MK Real Estate, a middle-end residential developer, revised its sales target to 2.5 billion baht with a total growth at 10-12 percent this year due to high oil prices and increasing interest rates.

Construction contractor CH. Karnchang Plc has signed a 1.45-billion-baht contract with the Royal Irrigation Department to build drainage ways and roads in the area of the Suvarnabhumi Airport, the new Bangkok international airport which is due to commence operations later this year.
