A man featured on the FOX 26 Predator Check segment has been found in Thailand one month after another man, also featured on Predator Check, was caught living a secret life in the Southeast Asian country.
Marvin Leon Gabbard Jr., 34, whose criminal profile first aired on FOX 26 News in December 2008, was taken into custody Tuesday in Thailand and is awaiting extradition to Harris County. USA.
A citizen contacted Crime Stoppers of Houston anonymously on Dec. 14, 2008, and said that Gabbard was working in Afghanistan. After the information was passed along to the Gulf Coast Violent Offender's Task Force, a U.S. Marshal was assigned to the case.
Investigators determined after several weeks that Gabbard had traveled from Afghanistan to Thailand.
Gabbard was charged with indecency with a child late in November 2008. A 13-year-old girl, who lived in the same Katy house as Gabbard, accused him of repeatedly touching her inappropriately since October 2007.
