Bangkok faces water shortage

Department of Industrial Works director-general Issara Chotiburakarn said Bangkok is expected to encounter a water shortage problem in the next five or six years.
Issara said the digging for underground water, which is regarded an illegal activity in Thailand, has been found to be rife in the country, given that underground water-related expenses are cheaper than those of regular water supply.
