Arcelor seeks ally to thwart Mittal

LONDON Jan. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Arcelor SA, the world's second- largest steelmaker, said it may seek an alliance with an Asian company to thwart a hostile 18.6 billion-euro ($22.5 billion) takeover bid by Mittal Steel Co.
