Delta Electronics Q2 profit rises 20%

Delta Electronics Plc, a unit of the world's biggest maker of computer power systems and chargers, said second-quarter profit rose 20 percent.
Net income rose to 596.2 million baht ($16 million), or 0.48 baht a share, in the three months ended June, from 497.1 million baht, or 0.42 baht, a year earlier, the company said in a statement Tuesday to the Thai stock exchange.
Sales rose 1.7 percent to 10.9 billion baht from 10.7 billion baht. Cost of sales rose 1.4 percent to 8.78 billion baht.
