Bangkok, Dec 18: Danai Udomchoke of Thailand upset top seed Lee Hyung-taik of Korea in straight sets to win gold in the men's tennis singles on Thursday. Danai won 7-5, 6-3 in a contest that lasted just an hour-and-a-half.
Cecil Mamiit of Philippines and Go Soeda of Japan took away the bronze medals.
The Korean fans were in early at the Khalifa Centre to root for their number one player and top seed of the tournament Lee Hyung-taik, in the men's singles final on thursday.
